Insurer directories
Only show their own network, and list practices that stopped taking new patients long ago. Being on a plan’s list is not the same as having an opening.
Booking platforms
Only show practices that pay to be on them. Whole neighbourhoods are simply missing, and you cannot tell what you are not being shown.
What we do instead
List every practice in the metro, record the facts patients ask for, and show the date we last confirmed each one. Where we have not checked, we say so.
